“In the face of unfairness and injustice, I believe that resistance and resilience are always present. Acts of resilience are about people taking actions aligned with what they value in life. Therefore, I help people make decisions that resonate with what they stand for. As a clinician, I recognize that all individuals have the capacity to survive and thrive. Acknowledging and highlighting people’s strengths can restore a sense of security and dignity. Consequently, facing hardships becomes more manageable by preserving one’s dignity and
agency. Promoting agency and empowerment helps people gain clarity on which actions to take. Therefore, my role is to help people create an inner trust and new paths of hope that serve them as a guiding light in life.”
